Tested charging system and replaced it with a new alternator/generator on a 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Friend had a new battery a couple days before I replaced the alternator. He was lucky enough to drive it to my home and not get stranded on the road.

Tested the charging system with a
SUN VAT45 Battery/Alternator/Starter Tester. The alternator is rated at 100 amps.

After the test, alternator gave out only 1 amp. It is bad.
A new alternator from Autozone was installed and now charging the battery. The battery light is gone on the instrument cluster.
