Dino Crisis 2 (ディノクライシス, Dinokuraishisu 2) is a survival horror third-person shooter video game released on September 13, 2000 for PlayStation by Capcom and re-released on August 20, 2002 for Microsoft Windows. Dino Crisis 2" is the second game in the series, succeeding Dino Crisis. It was considered Capcom's best game at the time, being rated 9.2/10 by Gamespot and 9.3/10 by IGN.
History

One year has passed since the incidents on Ibis Island, now being October 2, 2011. The Third Energy (ie, the most advanced energy of the millennium) suffered another accident, now being under government control. They wanted to carry out further research, using the machine to bring living microorganisms and cells from the Cretaceous era to today's centuries. Precautions were not taken, which resulted in the disappearance of Edward City and a military research complex. In their places, a jungle, from another time, occupied itself. The game's two main protagonists are Lt. Dylan Morton and Regina, with Dylan being new to the series and Regina reprising her role after the events of the first incident (also in Dino Crisis). Dylan is the lieutenant of Time Recognition and Acquisition of Tactical or in Portuguese Time Recognition and Tactical Acquisition (TRAT) who was sent in time with the rest of the team to carry out a search and rescue mission. Another prominent character is fellow TRAT member David Fork. Early on, he is separated from Regina and Dylan after hitting a Tyrannosaurus in the eye with a bazooka. Along the journey, Dylan finds a survivor, who appeared to be equipped and with a strange helmet was actually a time employee, specializing in caring for and acclimatizing the Dinos species in the Viral technology laboratory in Edward City. Throughout the plot, the protagonists encounter various dinosaurs that inhabit the jungle region, along with its waters and the skies. Those that appear frequently include Velociraptor, Allosaurus, Oviraptor, and many others.
