POLICE: Female Victim Injured in Shooting on Tapo Court in South Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A shooting has occurred in the 6400 block of Tapo Court in the South area of Sacramento. According to reports, a female victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to the hospital via paramedic ambulance in stable condition.
After paramedics and firefighters moved the victim to the gurney, officers located a shell casing on the sidewalk beneath her leg. The court has been taped off as officers and CSI investigate the crime scene.
According to witnesses, the shooter fled the scene in a dark vehicle. Police are actively searching for the suspect.
