I AM TAKING over for Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Steven Colbert, Seth Meyers, and the Daily Show!

Starting on Tuesday, nightly talk shows such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Daily Show will go off the air as writers have agreed to strike. These shows will be replaced with reruns until further notice. Weekly shows like Saturday Night Live, Real Time with Bill Maher, and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver will also be affected, with the two HBO shows shutting down and SNL expected to follow suit. Showrunners of the affected late-night shows have pledged to stay in touch with each other to give a unified approach to the situation, unlike in the 2007-08 strike. One of the issues in this year's negotiation between the writers guild and the studios is the lack of MBA minimums for writers who work on "comedy variety programs made for new media," which the WGA has been fighting for. While many showrunners support the writers' demands, they are also concerned about their staff and crew losing their jobs or paychecks.
