Canada: Parliamentarians discuss passage of forced-labour bill – May 4, 2023

Liberal MP John McKay and Senator Julie Miville-Dechêne hold a news conference on Parliament Hill to discuss the passage of their private member’s bill, S-211. The legislation, which would require Canadian companies to ensure that they are not using forced or child labour in their production overseas, passed a final vote in the Senate on May 3.
