British right believe golden era Britain was free & had a benevolent ruling class (4/5/23)

According to many on the British right their rose tinted romanticised version of Britain 50-100 years ago was free and the ruling class were less corrupt, more competent and generally benevolent. This is an utter delusion and a rewrite of history. The "elite" or ruling class of Britain have always been malevolent and incompetent.
