"We have a 60-year war [US intervention] with Iraq, and that war began when the CIA overthrew the first democratically-elected government in the 6,000-year history of Persia. And we are still living with the blowback from that operation," lamented Mr. Kennedy.

"There's no accountability, and these agencies need to be accountable. And I would break up the CIA in a way that would make them accountable."
