At a news conference on Parliament Hill, International Development Minister Harjit Sajjan announces more than $30 million in humanitarian assistance for Sudan amid the ongoing conflict in that country. The funding is part of an overall package of more than $71 million to help Sudan, as well as neighboring countries South Sudan and the Central African Republic as they handle a large number of refugees. Minister Sajjan is joined by Anita Vandenbeld, his parliamentary secretary, as well as Housing Minister Ahmed Hussen and London West MP Arielle Kayabaga.
