Proposal with a Plane & a Picnic

This girl I married is so special, she deserved an epic and extravagant marriage proposal.

I had some thoughts about how I could pull this off using what I had available to me.

It was an epic marriage proposal that she didn't expect. I had heard of many pilots pulling off inflight proposals. I knew I wanted to use a plane, but I didn't want that special moment to happen in the cockpit with headsets on. I wanted to use the plane as part of the plan.

I used piece of land with a message cut out in the grass to fly over, but not the marriage proposal message, that came later. She had no idea where I was taking her next. We flew to a private grass airstrip where we could land. There I had some friends that were fiddle players set up a picnic which had the engagement ring in the middle of it.

She said Yes!!! and she told me that it was the Greatest marriage proposal EVER!

Two months later, she became my bride. We had a wonderful wedding at a golf and country club.

So if you are looking for some genius proposal ideas and you happen to be a pilot, I can highly recommend my idea. I didn't patent it. Go for it!
