The 09544 Dungarpur - Asarva DEMU Special train runs from Dungarpur to Asarva. It travels 180 kilometres journey in 4 hours 25 minutes, with 24 halts in between, with the average speed of 40 kmph.
This train runs on Ahmedabad Junction - Udaipur City Rail line which is currently under gauge conversion, Till 2016 this line was operational as Meter gauge Section then it was closed for Gauge Conversion from Meter Gauge to Broad Gauge.
This corridor passes through the ranges of Arvalli of Northern Gujarat and Udaipur division of Rajasthan, In this area, there is also a mine of Zinc and Phosphate in Zawar and Umra which it makes direct and important mineral transportation to rest of India with a stretch of 299.55 kms.
This mainline route is divided into two sections:
1) The first section is of Ahmedabad-Himmatnagar Junction with the length of 88 kms comes under the jurisdiction of Western Railways.
2) The second section is Himmatnagar Junction-Udaipur
City with a length of 210 kms comes under the jurisdiction of North Western Railways.
Also contains two branch lines of this corridor which both are comes in Western Railways these are:
1) The first branch line is Himmatnagar Junction-Khed Bramha with a length of 58 kms
2) The second branch line is Nadiad-Kapadvani-Modasa
Branch line with the length of 138 kms.
