Biden administration approves sending 1,500 US troops to Mexico border

According to sources, the Biden administration has given approval for the deployment of 1,500 active duty U.S. troops to the southern border in the upcoming days.

This decision comes amidst concerns that a substantial number of migrants may attempt to enter the country once Title 42 is lifted, Fox News reports.

The troops will be sourced from various active duty Army units and are expected to serve for a period of 90 days, primarily in administrative and transportation capacities.

The intention is to relieve pressure on law enforcement and Border Patrol agencies.
