The #republican party of today is not your dad's Republican party. Even since #georgewbush #republicans have changed their views on many things and have arguably become more #libertarian on issues like #gayrights #warondrugs and even the #economy among other issues. #donaldtrump is someone to even to this day has friction with Republican leadership but has a very strong base. It's also worth noting that not only are the Republicans responsible for ending slavery, but Donald Trump is the first president in #history to openly support gay marriage and gay rights.
