Are Black people safe with the Medical establishment, Black Doctors are needed. This video is about whether Black people live longer when they have a Black doctor vs a white doctor. In this video you will hear from a Black father who took his baby boy into the hospital for treatment because the babies stool, poop had discoloring, there was a problem. According to recent studies, there is evidence to suggest that African Americans may have better health outcomes and even live longer when they are treated by Black doctors. One study found that Black men were more likely to agree to preventative healthcare measures when they saw Black doctors compared to non-Black doctors. Another study found that Black patients had better outcomes for diabetes management when they were treated by Black doctors. While more research is needed to fully understand the relationship between race and health outcomes in medical care, these studies suggest that having a Black doctor may have a positive impact on the health and longevity of African Americans.
