Passenger arrested at Boston airport for carrying ‘vampire straw’

A 26-year-old man was arrested at Boston Logan International Airport on April 23 after security confiscated a 10-inch-long titanium vampire straw from his carry-on luggage. The vampire straw doubles as both a drinking straw and a self-defense weapon and is illegal to carry in Massachusetts. The Massachusetts State Police issued a statement confirming the man had been charged with carrying a dangerous weapon.
