In an effort to crack down on car theft, the New York Police Department announced Sunday that they will be handing out 500 Apple AirTags to Bronx residents to put in their cars. The AirTags, provided by the non-profit Association for a Better New York, will only be accessible by car owners until a theft is reported as stolen to the police.
