Scuba diving at the Barracuda Point, Sipadan, Malaysia sounds like an amazing adventure!🤿

According to the web, **Barracuda Point** is one of the top 5 dive sites of the world¹, famous for its huge shoal of thousands of barracudas often making a tornado and darkening the sun¹! You can also see bumphead parrotfish, dozens of turtles, reef sharks, and sometimes even hammerhead sharks¹!

The site is composed by a steep wall going down to 22 m deep often with strong currents¹. You need to be an advanced diver to dive there¹. You also need to book a dive package with a minimum of three nights at one of the major resorts and dive centres in Mabul or Kapalai islands to get a permit for diving in Sipadan², as only a limited number of guests are allowed to dive each day².

If you are looking for something different, you can also try diving at the **Turtle Tomb**, a submerged cave system with eerie turtle skeletons²³. This is easily Sipadan’s most famous site, also known as Turtle Cavern². The turtle tomb is a submerged cave system, beginning at around 20-metres down and just a short swim from the island’s jetty². Local legend goes that this is where old turtles come to die².

I hope you have a wonderful time diving at Sipadan!😊
