Does Judaism Credit Christianity Preserving the Memory of the Name of God -- YAHWEH?

Due to a Septuagint mistranslation in 247 BC of Leviticus 15 that banned naming the name of YHWH, declaring its utterance was blasphemy, and subject to a death penalty, there arose the Ineffable Name Doctrine to prohibit ever saying YHWH. This led to forgetting how to pronounced YHWH at some point. But early christian writings show how it is phonetically sounded out in Greek, which had vowels. This Jewish Encyclopedias credit in part early Christianity with prerserving the title.
