INGREDIENTS ( makes 3 ) :

3 Italian baguettes
350 grams sliced steak bits ( 12.34 oz )
140 grams chopped onion ( 4.93 oz )
3 to 4 gouda slices
190 grams sliced green bell pepper ( 6.7 oz )
120 grams sliced chestnut mushrooms ( 4.23 oz )
30 grams butter ( 1.05 oz )
1 minced garlic clove
1/2 teaspoon salt ( 1.14 grams )
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper ( 0.58 grams )
1/4 teaspoon cayenne ( 0.44 grams )
2 + 2 tablespoons vegetable oil ( 27.2 + 27.2 grams )

INSTRUCTIONS :

.in a pot on medium heat add 30 grams butter
.once melted add 1 minced garlic clove, cook for 1 to 2 minutes & set aside
.in a pan on medium heat add 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
.once heated add 140 grams chopped onion, cook for 1 to 2 minutes
.add 190 grams sliced green bell pepper, cook for 1 to 2 minutes
.add 120 grams sliced chestnut mushrooms, cook for 2 to 3 minutes & set aside
.in a pan on medium heat add 2 tablespoons olive oil
.once heated add 350 grams sliced steak bits
.add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
.add 1/4 teaspoon cayenne, mix well & cook for 4 to 5 minutes
.add cooked vegetables, mix well & cook for 2 minutes
.reduce heat to low, add 3 to 4 gouda slices & cook for 2 to 3 minutes
.place sliced Italian baguettes on baking tray & spread on garlic butter
.place in oven grill for 2 minutes
.layer on cheesesteak filling
