In a virtual news conference, Defence Minister Anita Anand provides an update on efforts to evacuate Canadians from Sudan amid the ongoing conflict in that country. She is joined at this news conference by General Wayne Eyre, the chief of the defence staff, and by Sébastien Beaulieu, an official at Global Affairs Canada. The update comes after Canada suspended its air evacuation efforts from Sudan due to safety concerns.
