US Marine "Steals" Military Helicopter To Save US City From Sniper But Then Faces A Court Martial!

Mark Essex went on a week-long rampage in New Orleans starting New Year's Eve, culminating on January 7th, 1973 on the roof of a downtown New Orleans Howard Johnson Hotel. But one man watching events unfold on TV couldn't stand by and watch when he knew he could help so Marine Lt. Col. Chuck Pitman Took a CH-46 helicopter without permission and a small crew to help the NOLA Police put an end to the rampage. However, this was a move that would see Lt. Col. Pitman face a Court Martial for his heroics.
