Hundreds protest for pay raises in Canada

Hundreds of activists gathered on MacDonald-Cartier Bridge in Ottawa, demanding pay raises.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the government was making serious proposals in an attempt to end the strike. Earlier, it was reported that negotiations were at a standstill because the government had not backtracked on its latest proposal for a nine percent wage increase over three years.
