Join me, Dennis Alan, as I embark on a journey to the historic Fort Bowie in Arizona, hiking barefoot through the rugged terrain of the Old West. Fort Bowie was established in the 1800s as a military post to protect travelers on the Butterfield Overland Mail route. As I hike through the Sonoran desert landscape, I share the history of the fort and the surrounding area, including the Apache Wars and the significance of the Chiricahua Mountains.

One of the most interesting aspects of Fort Bowie is the grave of Geronimo's two-year-old son, buried at the fort's cemetery. Geronimo, a prominent Apache leader, led a resistance against the U.S. government in the late 1800s, and his story is deeply intertwined with the history of this region. I discuss the history of Geronimo and his son, as well as other important figures who were associated with Fort Bowie.

This is a true adventure and a chance to connect with the rich history of the American West. I can't wait to share it with you!
