‘QAnon Shaman’ asks judge to vacate sentence over newly released footage

January 6 Capitol rioter Jacob Chansley, whose horned helmet and fur pelt earned him the nickname “QAnon Shaman”, has requested a federal judge vacate his prison sentence. Chansley was sentenced to 41 months in prison in 2021 and released to a halfway house last month. The filed motion states the government obstructed Chansley’s rights by withholding evidence that potentially exonerated him, citing footage released by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson last March.
