Smith and Wesson Shield Plus. The Godfather of micro compacts.

The Shield is undoubtedly the Godfather of the sub micro compacts. Released in 2012 it created the market for all current sub micros and ruled the market for a few years as the only sub micro compact available. It was a great intro piece into that market but fell short in a few areas. Mainly the trigger and round count left something to be desired but the bones were there to build upon.

Then in 2021 with the release of the shield plus those short comings fell away and the king returned to the throne. A crisp, flat faced trigger replaced the curved hinged trigger and the magazine capacity was increased from 8 to 13. A wide but narrow grip makes this sub micro the flattest shooting in its class. Multiple build options gives the buyer the option to have ported barrel and slide, optics cut, night sights, threaded barrel for suppression and the list goes on. With the addition of the Recover Tactical rail mount you can increase your light options from 100 lumens to 600 or more.

Holster options are limited with those upgrades but Three Line Tactical makes holsters for the Shield owners with or without the added rail mount and upgraded light options.
