I Painted a Coastal Paradise En Plein Air

In this video I go on an outdoor painting adventure in my local area and I paint a coastal paradise en plein air. I am painting in a place called Long Beach, in Russell in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand

Throughout the video I demonstrate how to paint a coastal landscape en plein air using oil paints and I give you tips on painting cliffs, vegetation, water and distant landforms. I also explain how to create atmospheric depth in your painting.

In the second part of the video I take my plein air painting back to my studio and I add details to it.
