Sausage gravy. Eatin’ Good In The Ozarks!

I am making sausage gravy when I was out of milk. I used evaporated milk and a little water as a substitute. I browned 1/2 pound of sausage adding a little oil (bacon grease is good also). I added a little flour, enough to coat the meat and cooked a few minutes to ensure flour is cooked. I then added a can of evaporated milk and stirred. I added a little water to thin it. Cook stirring often and add water as needed. Cook till it starts to thicken, add pepper to taste and remove from heat. This is great served over biscuits and scrambled eggs.
