Plants vs Zombies 2 - Penny's Pursuit - Zomboss - GEM Plant - Shrinking Violet - April/May 2023

This Penny's quest focuses on the GEM plant Shrinking Violet and was offered between between April 26, 2023 and May 3, 2023.

Shrinking Violet is a member of the Enchant-Mint family.
Shrinking Violet costs 50 Sun. (-25 Sun at level 5.)
When approached by a zombie, Shrinking Violet will shrink all zombies in a 3x3 area. This will consume Shrinking Violet. (Frozen, stunned, or buttered zombies will be immune to its effect.)
Imps, chickens and weasels affected this way will be shrunk into oblivion.
When given plant food, Shrinking Violet will shrink ALL zombies on the lawn. This will NOT consume Shrinking Violet.
Shrunken zombies will take 2x damage. (+0.25x damage per level until level 5.)
Shrunken zombies deal half damage.

Commentary:
This is one of the few plants where there is not a great difference between its level 1 stats and its level 10 stats. As such, just unlock this plant and do not worry about getting any of its seeds .

Bottom Line:
When it comes to the GEM plants, Shrinking Violet is not going to be the first choice of many players. However Shrinking Violet is one of those plants that one should get as soon as reasonably able. Shrinking zombies are easier to dispatch and the cost is very reasonable.

Level 3 Objective - Remove nine (9) health bars in three (3) minutes.
Reward is 20 Shrinking Violet
Players start with 1,600 Sun.

I do not get a preview of Penny's Pursuit before it is released. So what you see is what players get.

I also try to vary the strategies from week to week and showcasing different plants and strategies and ideas. Using the same strategy week after week would be boring to see.
