Speaker McCarthy addresses press after House passes debt limit bill

Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told reporters Wednesday that President Joe Biden can “no longer ignore by not negotiating” after a GOP-led bill raising the debt limit passed in the House. “We've lifted the debt limit, we've sent it to the Senate, we've done our job,” said Speaker McCarthy.
