Finding Reason for Routine

The job of a routine is to facilitate the meeting of your needs (and the needs of your life). Meeting the needs we have, and the needs our lives have, might be more important than anything else -- at least it is the foundation for anything else.

If the routines you generate do not facilitate the meeting of needs, you will not keep them up. If you are not good at identifying/valuing your own needs, or the needs of your life, you will not keep the routine(s) up.

You must recognize the needs, and seek to meet them, before you can move onto other things. Have a morning routine that needs enough of your needs in the morning so you can venture into life feeling less unmet.
