A man in New Zealand has broken into the African enclosure at Auckland Zoo where he spent 15 minutes inside the fence, bathing in a pond and walking towards animals. Videos show the adult man bathing in the water area of the enclosure where adult rhinos and nyala antelope reside. One witness reported that the man "staunch walked" towards the antelope and walked back and forth around the enclosure. The man was eventually removed by zoo staff and a security guard, and then arrested by the police. Fortunately, no injuries were reported to either the man or the animals. Auckland Zoo's director, Kevin Buley, praised his staff for quickly and safely resolving the incident, adding that he hopes the man involved gets the help and support he needs.
