( Facts about koalas )
👇
1) Koalas are native to Australia and are found in the eastern and southeastern parts of the country.

2) They are marsupials, which means they give birth to underdeveloped young that then continue to develop outside of the womb in a pouch.

3) Koalas are known for their distinctive appearance, with their fluffy ears, round nose, and fuzzy gray or brown fur.

4) They primarily eat eucalyptus leaves, which make up most of their diet. Koalas are specially adapted to digest the toxic compounds found in eucalyptus leaves, which are poisonous to most other animals.

5) Koalas are mostly sedentary and spend up to 20 hours a day sleeping or resting in trees. They are excellent climbers and have strong limbs and sharp claws to help them cling to branches.

6) Although they are often called "koala bears," they are not actually bears but rather marsupials related to kangaroos and wallabies.
