Trucking Vlogs 2 Smokey and The Bandit & John Schneider Tribute

When we talk classic trucks, Smokey and the Bandit and country music, it's all one in the same. In this Vlog episode, I'm driving a classic Peterbilt 359. It became my regular rig for 4 years.

During that period of time, I met with the Snowman Run that I had been following online for years before I ever came to live this side of the Atlantic. We met at the Smokey and the Bandit 40th anniversary.

We toured some of the Smokey and the Bandit filming locations. Then Burt Reynolds showed up along with Seidina Reed, the daughter of Jerry Reed. Susie Ewing who played Hot Pants Hillard, Caye Jones Barnett from the house. Ronnie Gay the State Trooper, John McCullough the owner of Fred, and Ellyn Needham. Hal Needham's wife.

Right while I was making this Vlog, Alicia Allain Schneider passed away. John Schneider (Bo Duke) from The Dukes of Hazzard is an influential character to me. His connection to Smokey & the Bandit and his heart for those good old days are obvious and wonderful. His movies Stand on it and Poker Run are tributes to Smokey and the Bandit.
