Knife-Wielding Suspect Shot by California Cops

An 18-year-old California man was shot by police after failing to comply with officers while allegedly armed with a knife on April 7. The Oxnard Police Department said bystanders called 911 saying that Christian Baltazar Torrez was threatening them with a knife while inside one of a nearby resident’s truck. The situation escalated when Torrez, who was warned to drop the knife several times, advanced toward officers.
