Japan has revealed its first modified carrier sight, which is now ready to deploy F-35B fighter jets. The F-35B jets are equipped with short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) capabilities, allowing them to be deployed from aircraft carriers with limited space for conventional takeoff and landing.

With this modification, Japan has become the second country in the Asia-Pacific region to operate STOVL jets, after the United States. The deployment of F-35B jets is expected to strengthen Japan's maritime defense capabilities and enhance its ability to respond to any potential security threats in the region.
