Christain is a chartered psychologist, a professor of psychology at the University of Birmingham, and a psychotherapist. With his deep-rooted interest in philosophy, particularly that relating to phenomenology, existentialism, and meaning-making, he explains how he enables people to turn maladaptive thoughts into positive mindsets.
His theory suggests that when we lose touch with our authentic selves, we generate energy from causes in life that don't really serve us. However, we convince ourselves that they do because we find it much easier to gravitate towards that facet of meaning than to accept responsibility for the mistruths in our lives. When we are on autopilot, we don't question the authenticity of our experience. How much of reality are we construing authentically, and how much are we moulding according to our natural dispositions?

Christian explains: Once we are confronted with the idea that we might be aligning ourselves with external sources of meaning and therefore living frail and inauthentic lives, we can start to free ourselves from the conditioned cages we are trapped in and align with our true authentic story.
Showing up for yourself every day, showing up as authentically as you can, and questioning, growing, and evolving in the continual pursuit of finding answers and dismantling, discarding, or adopting them are one of the most precious aspects of life.
