Liz Gould and Paul Fitzgerald talk about high points and eureka moments in their lifelong journey through the depths of mystical imperialism to their discovery of the importance of the work of political-economist Henry George and sacred rule economics. Interviewed by Alanna Hartzok, author of The Open Letter to King Charles III - An Earth Rights Manifesto. For more see valediction.net and theIU.org

Statement from Liz Gould: Since Americans believe that any step towards socialism will end private property leading to the hated communist collectivism, the “left” could not build a strong following among its most important constituent, the working class. Today many still reject government run social services, even Medicare for all. In addition, if you tried to promote Marx/Lenin economic solutions, it was often claimed you were run by Moscow. When I encountered Georgist economics I was impressed with the huge popularity it had in the 19th century. I was even more impressed that it was still solving problems around the world today. When I realized Georgist Economics did not tinker with private property ownership I knew Henry George came up with the perfect solution for Americans. Knowing these solutions could create an economy that works for everyone-by not taxing earned income while making sure huge land owners would pay their true share of value through the land tax on their unearned income-was the"eureka."
