WHAT IS TECHNOLOGY?
The origin of the word "technology" can be traced back to the ancient Greek word, techne--meaning skill with art or craft.
Making plastics or paper, designing electronic circuits, and constructing bridges are very different crafts, however, they are all examples of technology.
We are going to define technology as the application of TECHNICAL and
SCIENTIFIC knowledge to design and create objects so that some human activity is more comfortable to perform, faster, cheaper, or even more environmentally sustainable.
In summary:
Technology is the application of TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC knowledge.
IT'S OBJECTIVE IS TO ACHIEVE GOALS AND IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE.
AND FOR THIS YOU NEED TO MANUFACTURE NEW OBJECTS.
