What could be worse than people around you insinuating with innuendo, actions, or some kind of sci-fi-ish messaging system (like the magnification of signage or similar) that your husband, wife, partner or friends were meeting very secretively and exclusively without you for sexual escapades, orgies or what have you while they all act superior and as if you are a child. Silly Sharon or whatever. So immature. She doesn't know that there's an entire kingdom of orgy masters who rule the world. We'll make her feel insecure and left out as if a child who never matured into adulthood and a world of leadership.
The thing is, some people do have secret escapades and might laugh and snicker at the one not in-the-know whether sexual in nature or otherwise. As if they are above everyone else. This line of thought is 'inserted,' I believe, to a target's brain to induce extreme worry, doubt and insecurities. To foster a paranoid mindset. We won't get into the convoluted wormhole of brain gymnastics that can go on from this kind of set up because some people do really experience a lot of alienation from certain types of people...even in their presence, they can exchange glances 'around' the one not in-the-know. I'll leave it at that. In most cases, people aren't as bad as how I've describe the exclusivity types, but it CAN happen.
