Sudan crisis: Gunfire heard in Khartoum after ceasefire comes into effect

A 24-hour truce agreed between Sudan's rival military
factions was quickly disrupted by gunfire in the
Khartoum capital region on Tuesday, despite
international pressure to calm fighting that has sparked a
humanitarian crisis.
The conflict between Sudan's army and paramilitary
group RSF broke out four days ago, and so far over 185
people have been illed in the fighting across the country.
"l consider this to be the toughest Ramadan in Sudan.
No one can buy their daily needs. Military clashes
continue during the night so it is not recommended to go
out to buy your needs, humanitarian worker Mahmoud
Alameen said.
