WARNING: this video shows assault and animal abuse For months, the Gastonia Police, and Gaston County DA Travis Page, have fought to keep the public from seeing the footage of the arrest of Joshua Rohrer. Now we know why. Joshua's bogus charges have been dropped, and we now see firsthand the crimes committed by Gastonia Police Officers Maurice Taylor III and Cierra Brooks. Now it's time for justice. Join us at the next City Council meeting at the Gaston County Courthouse on Tuesday, August 16 at 5pm, where we will demand the following: - The calling in of NC's State Bureau of Investigation to investigate this incident, since Taylor's father is head of Gastonia Internal Affairs - Prosecution of Officers Taylor, Brooks and any other officer or official who committed crimes related to this incident We also call on the NC legislature to change the rules for body cam footage release, so that corrupt officials can't lobby the courts to keep them blocked from the public.
