SpaceX rocket explodes three minutes after liftoff

SpaceX’s Starship, the world’s tallest and most powerful rocket, exploded just under three minutes after taking off from the company’s orbital launchpad in Boca Chica, Texas Thursday morning. SpaceX had planned to launch the reusable rocket into space to spend one hour in orbit before splashing down in the Pacific Ocean. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk had predicted about a 50% chance of mission success.
