Follow the money and you’ll see in recent years, there has been growing interest in the idea of insect-based agriculture as a solution to feeding a growing world population. However, there are also important ethical, cultural, health and personal considerations to take into account when discussing the future of our food system. Today, we will explore the trends of insect-based agriculture. I would also like to share my personal thoughts on this issue, which is that while there are some potential benefits to insect-based agriculture, I do not believe that we should advocate for the widespread consumption of insects. Instead, I believe that we should focus on other more natural forms of protein, such as nuts, seeds, beans, and some animal meat. But again, this must be a conversation for the people and not just up to a select few.
