A debate centered around transgender legislation at the University of Pittsburgh escalated from protestors to a public safety emergency Tuesday night. Footage captured by a journalist for the school’s newspaper shows transgender activists yelling “Trans rights are human rights” while being escorted out of the debate between Daily Wire host Michael Knowles and journalist Brad Polumbo. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports roughly 175 protestors gathered in the streets; one protestor threw an incendiary device at police officers while another set fire to a cardboard cutout with Knowles’ face on it. No arrests have been made. Credit: Punya Bhasin via Storyful
