Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.

Greek word of the day- καταναλίσκω katanalískō, kat-an-al-is'-ko; from G2596 and G355; to consume utterly:—consume.

Hebrews 12:29

For our God is a consuming fire.

NOTE: All my readings come out of my Orthodox Study Bible, I encourage all who partake on these studies to follow along and also see my study video for better understanding, my write ups do not always provide all the commentary.

Psalm 44(45)17,10

They shall make mention of your name from generation to generation.Verse: Hear, O daughter, and see, and incline your ear.

Acts 2:22-39

See vv. 25-32 here in Acts 2- it's paired with Psalm 15(16): Acts 2:27: "For You will not leave my Soul in HADES, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption." Psalm 15(16): v. 10: "For You will not abandon my soul to HADES Nor allow Your Holy One to see corruption." - Christ has conquered both Satan and Hades. Hades is a place, but more like a state, because death is a state. Hades has two levels where both the repented and unrepentant go. Everyone is waiting the Second Coming of Christ is there is still hope for all who have fallen asleep because Christ has conquered death by death. See also Luke 16:19-31- the rich man and Lazarus, read it very carefully. "I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come." (Creed)- Christ Will return and judge both the living and the dead, His kingdom will have no end.

See v. 36- the term MADE is referring to Christ's Incarnation and works as a Man, and was not referring to His Eternal existence as Lord and God.

See vv.37-39- Peter's answer defines Christianity and life within the Church- 1: REPENT, 2: BE BAPTIZED, 3: RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

John 1:35-51

The Lord's first disciples were followers of John the Baptist. Andrew- (v. 40)- Simon Peter or Cephas (vv. 41-42)- Philip (v. 43) Nathanael (v. 45)- unnamed disciple in (vv. 35-40) some Fathers claim it is John the author of this gospel. In v. 47- Nathanael is a man of no deceit, meaning he was a person with a pure heart and straight forward and truthful to all. We don't know what truly happened under the fig tree, but Christ having the ability to see into Nathanael's heart stirs him into his confession of faith seen in v. 49.

St. John Chrysostom teaches that this was the meeting place for both Philip and Nathanael.

Psalm 44(45)

Is a prophetic description of the WORD INCARNATE, The Lord Jesus Christ, His Church, which is composed of both Jews and Gentiles.

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
