Southwest flights resume after FAA ordered ground halt over 'equipment issues'

The Federal Aviation Administration has lifted a brief nationwide ground stop for Southwest Airlines flights Tuesday morning. Southwest issued a statement explaining the FAA-issued pause was requested after a vendor-supplied firewall went down and connection to some operational data was lost. According to FlightAware, 41% of Southwest flights have been delayed as of late Tuesday morning.
