Here is a round up of what I think are the top takeaways from the security leaks.
Ukrainian air defenses are in dire shape after fighting repeated Russian drone and missile strikes. Buk missiles may run out shortly. S-300 missiles will only last until the first week of May. S-300 and Buk missiles compose 90% of Ukraine’s medium range air defense
Ukrainian forces are lacking in training and munitions which will impede process and result in higher casualties.
The situation for Russian forces in Bakhmut is catastrophic. Russia combat power is crippled.
Between 35,500 to 43,000 Russian troops have been killed with over 154,000 wounded. Russia has lost 2,000 tanks, only 419 tanks remain in the field.
The Russian eastern Ukraine offense is headed toward a stalemate and a protracted war that will go beyond 2023.
There are 97 special-forces personnel from NATO countries in Ukraine
