Date – Tuesday, April 18th - 2023 – St. Galdinus of Milan

St. Galdinus of Milan (c. 1096 – 1176) was born into a noble family and was educated for the ecclesiastical life. He became the chancellor of the Church in Milan and was later made cardinal by Pope Alexander III. He was known for his humility, sweetness, and vigor in defending the Church against heresies. In his last moments, despite being physically weak, he ascended the pulpit and delivered a vehement sermon against the heretics, showing his unwavering zeal for the faith. He died as the Mass ended, leaving behind an example of a counter-revolutionary knight who fought against the enemies of the Church with all his strength until his last breath. His death epitomizes the importance of resolute combat against heresy and revolution for the preservation of the faith.

COME, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and kindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Oremus:
O GOD, Who taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that, by the gift of the same Spirit, we may be always truly wise, and ever rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
