Based on this information, the unit decides whether to engage the threat and activates the missile firing unit.
The missile firing unit is responsible for launching the interceptor missile, which is designed to destroy the incoming threat before it reaches its target. The interceptor missile is equipped with a proximity fuse that detonates the warhead near the incoming threat, destroying it in mid-air.
