As the protagonist becomes more familiar with the Glock 26, they start to compare it to other guns they encounter. However, none of them seem to measure up to the Glock 26 in their eyes. They find fault with other guns, nitpicking their size, weight, balance, trigger pull, or any number of other factors. Despite their friends' attempts to convince them to try other guns, the protagonist remains steadfastly devoted to their Glock 26.

Over time, the protagonist's love affair with their Glock 26 becomes more and more intense. They start to view the gun as an extension of themselves, and begin to identify strongly with other Glock 26 owners. They join online forums, attend Glock-specific shooting events, and even get a Glock tattoo on their arm. As their love for the Glock 26 deepens, they become increasingly convinced that it is the only gun they will ever need.

However, as the story progresses, the protagonist begins to experience some setbacks. They start to encounter reliability issues with their Glock 26, and find that it is not performing as well as it used to. They start to notice flaws in the gun that they had previously overlooked. Meanwhile, their friends are happily shooting other guns and seem to be enjoying them just as much as the Glock 26.

In the end, the protagonist is forced to confront the fact that their love affair with the Glock 26 may not be as perfect as they had imagined. They realize that every gun has its strengths and weaknesses, and that it is possible to appreciate other firearms without detracting from their love for the Glock 26. While they may never be able to see other guns as equals to the Glock 26, they come to understand that it is possible to have a healthy respect for other firearms and still maintain their devotion to the gun that started it all.
