TENT WELCOMES: CAMPSITE A TIMEWINDOW FESTIVAL
CAMPSITE is a festival organized by the art community TimeWindow at TENT Rotterdam, which takes place from the 24th of March to the 10th of April 2023. At CAMPSITE, unexpected collaborations develop between 23 TimeWindow artists working with diverse disciplines – theatre, dance, spoken word, film, photography, and illustration. These collaborations flourish during artistic residencies throughout the festival, where artists create new works based on a process of coexistence and deconstruction. The audience is invited to experience this experiment and discover its outcome.

CAMPSITE Festival is inspired by the setup of a real campsite, where different people temporarily stay and coexist. Collectiveness is an important aspect of the festival that unfolds not only in its artworks but also in its organisation. CAMPSITE shifts the focus from individuality to collectivity as a celebration of the collaborative power of artistic processes.TimeWindow is a Rotterdam-based community of 50 independent artists, either rooted in or engaging with the performing arts. Besides sharing studio spaces, they support each other’s practices by operating within an organisational model based on circular hierarchy and inclusivity. Together, these artists strive for each other’s artistic and entrepreneurial empowerment through several activities, such as organising events. Check TimeWindow website for full programme.
